I have recieved an aquapod24g. Stock filtration is 2 sponges, 4 bio balls, and a bag of ceramic media. The return is roughly 290gph but i want to upgrade it to around 500 or 600 gph when I get back from school.
As of right now I have removed the bio balls, the ceramic media and 1 sponge. Im currently using 1 sponge and a media bag full of activated carbon. The problem however is the water flow in the back of the tank.
There are two chambers, in the overflow chamber there is some what of a waterfall effect coming down onto the bag, but to the left of the bag and sponge the water is barely moving.
In the return section the water is almost completely at a stand still at the top, I feel as though nothing is happening.
Im thinking of cutting some more teeth into the overflow and possibly in the divider of the sections in order to help promote water flow. Would this be alright?
I have some bad pics w/ my camera phone of the right overflow section (sry for the quality..i dont have a digi cam)
did anyone have this problem also w/ there aquapods?
Id appreciate any help, thanks a ton
