24x24x12 frag tank

I'm setting up a 30 gallon rimless frag tank and have decided to go with t5 lighting. I have SPS and some softies. Would a 4 bulb ATI fixture suffice, or should I go with a 6 bulb. Since it's only 12" deep, I'm leaning towards the 4 bulb. Thoughts and advise? I know it's a touchy subject, but is it worth it to go with the pricey ATI fixture or go in another direction?

6 bulbs is basically the minimum because 4 bulbs won't spread the 24".

On such a shallow tank, ATI isn't needed but I still recommend them. With Tek being out of business, there isn't really another system even worth the money.

Aquatic life is alright but that timer is prone to failure and their bulbs are so so. By the time you replace the bulbs, you are close to, if not more, than an ATI.

Thanks. 6 bulb it is. I've got the new led powermodule on order for my main tank. What bulb combination do you run?

On my tank I have 3 blue, 1 purple, 1 aquablue and 1 ge6500k. I use the ge and aquablue for 2 hours for a midday look and high PAR.

For a frag tank it will depend on what you want. High growth or awesome color?
