That is def. a cheaper Atlantic Anemone.
They are very aggresive and can kill most smaller fish.

no it's not!

There is no doubt in my mind that the anemone pictured is an 100% a Haddoni. I would be willing to bet my 5 Haddonis on this ID.

I put a little PE mysis soaked in Selcon close to the mouth tonight. The mouth immediately opened and swallowed the mysis.

About 10 minutes later the mouth was fully closed again. Some more shrimp landed on the anemone from the flow.

Where is the anemone being placed? Is it just in a holding container? looks like your tank is BB?

It is in a 50 gallon rubbermaid frag tank for now. The water quality is the best there since I only have one small fish. Plus, I thought it would be easier for me to watch the progress. I also don't have any powerheads in prop tank.

petco has great deals on carpets i got one there for $19 (ten years ago), just don't expect to find a neon green, blue or red haddoni.

I've had this anemone for about 11 days now. I think it is still doing well. It shrinks up some when the lights are on. I never bought any window screen to block some of the light but I did raise the light up really high. It seems like it isn't shrinking as much when the lights are on so I think it is getting used to them.
