give them time marrc, they will move in. as funny as it sounds, a local guy here taped a pic of clowns in an anemone to the glass where they could see it. he swears they moved in soon after 
thanks joe, nice build you got going there. i have been really happy with the t5 supplemental lights i am using, but would love to switch them out to LED
yep david, they are hogs. they will eat mysids any time i feed them. i was pretty amazed that the chalice was able to eat whole mysids

carl, i wanted multiple levels on the bottom because i thought it would look more natural. since the tank does not have a sump or skimmer, i wanted the nitrate reducing benefit of macroalgae. i decided that it would be easier to keep it from taking over the tank if i walled it into that corner. so far it has worked pretty well.
yes, i have a wave box on the tank set at its lowest power setting.

Tank looks great as usual! I believe that you added a couple wrasses. I saw a Mystery Wrasse, but I could not idnetiify the other one. Any particular reason for the additions?

i thought i would post an update to this thread since the tank has reached the two year mark. just after the last update, i had to change directions with it because the aggression went thru the roof with the clowns. we kept one pair in this tank and kept another pair for another tank (with all of the acans). you will also notice that i have moved away from the captive only idea, although i still try to get corals and fish from other reefers whenever possible.

i was taking some pics yesterday and noticed that the lighting in the tank was changing a bit because of the quickly moving clouds. i shot a video to try to capture that effect. this video is a bit different from others i have posted as i kept the camera still in each view for a long time to try to show the shifting light effect. it shows a bit, but is much more dramatic in person. sorry it is so long.
