250 Retro WTB

I have a friend who has a dual 250 fixture and a dual ballast. He would like to retrofit a third 250 MH in the center because his Oceanic tank has a big thick glass divider in the center which shades what little light is emitted from the two ends.

Anyone know of a simple 250 DE HQI bulb, socket fixture, and ballast for sale?

The DE setups are usually pendant because you need the glass sheild for most DE bulbs.

I have a reef optix 3 pendant with a phoenix 14k bulb with either a blue wave 4 ballast, or an icecap ballast that has the SLS plug wired to it for a little less.

The single ended retro kit prices at salty critter are excellent, and could save your friend some $.

I think the goal is to mount a third 250 MH light into the existing fixture and route the wires through the same gromets etc... It'll look nice if done right. The polished shield already exists. I'm thinking it'll be pretty easy to use stainless steel hardware to screw the two ends of a DE fixture to the existing fixture and route the wires to a ballast. the glass shield already exists. Any more ideas? Thanks fellas.

If the glass sheild is already in place and you have some sort of reflector you can buy these DE metal halide sockets for around $20
