250w 20K Radium with IceCap?

I am setting up my new Sfilogoi Xr6. Thinking on running SE 250k 20K Radium. I know these bulbs are suggested to be run on HQI/M80 ballasts. I know that will crank them to a crisp white color.

Also looks like a handful of people are running them on Galaxy ballast.

My question is how will the Radium SE 250w 20K work with IceCap 250w Electronic ballast? I know the IceCap will underdrive the bulb slightly, but will it still perform?

Thanks

Yes it will perform. It will be blue-er and have less output than if it were run to spec on a HQI(M80) ballast.

Thanks James. Do you know if the Galaxy 250 ballast will drive the bulb more than the IceCap?

Looks like the SNS Blue Wave 3 would be the HQI ballast for a SE Radium 250w.

I am running that combo and love it. It is a nice white blue, not to blue. Check out my build thread and I have some pics in there when I switched to the radium.

I have ran 400w radiums in the past on HQI ballasts (M80) and I like the Icecap with them just as well.
