250W Metal Halide ballast just died

One of my 250W Metal Halide ballasts just died on me. Anyone have one lying around that they don't need or that they don't want that they will part with for a reasonable price?

Is the one that died electronic or magnetic? If it's magnetic it is possible that the cap just vented. That would produce a smell like musty burning paper. You could just order a new cap from cool touch lighting if that's the case.

The one that died is an older style that does not have a cap.

Thanks Kimoy for the offer but I have 2 250W MHs over a 55 I don't really think 400s would be a good option.

I have an Ice Cap 250 sitting in the garage, lightly used, $75.00. Only problem is it's in Cedar Lake indiana....

if its magnetic it prob the resister which you can pick up at most elc companies for aroud $20 or the whole new ballast for $42 in naperville
