250watt SE Bulb suggestions

I'm setting up a new 400 gallon tank and will be using 4 Lumen Bright reflectors I have been running 400watters over the past 2 years so have never used 250 watt bulbs and know the color can be very different when going from 400watts to 250watts with the same Kelvin bulb.

I prefer a nice White bulb with a hint of blue. I was running a 400 watt Aquaconnect on my last setup.

I using the New Lumen Bright Fixtures which have T5/LED supplement lighting.

Looking for suggestions on what to run on the new setup.

Hi Bill, which ballast are you going to be using to drive the lamps?

I would recommend going with either the 14k Phoenix or the 20k Reeflux. You could also take a look at the 20k Ushio, but that lamp will have just a little more "warmer" feel to it than the others, although still pretty blue.

Won't a 20k be mostly blue appearance?

Do know anything about the new Neuco bulbs?

What's your top 3 favorite 250 watt se bulbs?

I got to see the Neuco 14's, but not the new 20's yet. Sorry, I missed the nice white w/hint of blue note. I Aquaconnect's would be my #1 in that case then. Second would be the Ushio 14k, then the Reeflux 20k after that (Reeflux 20k is like a Radium 250, not all that blue).

What's your opinion on the Neuco 14k?

The Neuco was a nice looking lamp, however they were just having too many issues with it staying fired, which is why they were recalled. I'm anxious to see them when they come back out.
