So I have a 75g mixed reef tank, 20g sump. Plan is to take a 25g tank and link it to the 75g via the sump. I was wanting to have a bta of some form and a pair of clowns only in the 25g (don't want a nem dragging itself across any corals in the 75g) and I liked the idea of having only one tank system to maintain. Questions are: Is this a bad idea? Could having a small nem tank linked with my reef tank cause damge to my reef tank?
I know people have nems in with their reef tanks but thats not a risk I want to run. I guess I assume that if their ok in the tank than it should be ok in its own seperate but connected tank but I figure I'd ask just to make sure.
If curious, I chose a 25g tank because it shares the same height as my 75 g and it fits right next to the 75 g forming an L.
