25gal aquarium sump, pump, plumbing question...

I currently have a 25gal AGA glass tank setup. I plan on adding a sump with skimmer and a fuge into my basement. I'm not sure if I'm going to drill my tank or add a prefilter overflow. I plan on using a 30gal tank in my basement for the sump and probably some ASM skimmer, maybe G2, in the sump. The sump will be about 8 to 10 feet below the diaplay tank. I am thinking of buying the Eheim 1262 Pump internal and pumping it up with 3/4" tubing into a SCWD. Then coming out of the 2 outlets with either 3/4 or 1/2" pvc (haven't decided) over the back of the tank for a return.

Does anyone have any comments on my plan?

Thanks!

I would look for a used Euroreef ES5-2 much better skimmer (Ijust bought 1 $140) The SCWD is going to kill your return flow dramticly and even worse after you plumb up over the back with it. I am building something similar with a 29g but sump under the tank and no scwd
