So my quarantine tanks are empty again, and I am thinking about my next fish purchase. Tonight I got the gold headed sleeper goby in the dt, and two engineer gobies into the refugium.
I am in no rush to make the next fish purchase, and want to think about what else goes into the tank from this point on. Below is the current livestock for my set up (corals not included) -
Yellow watchman goby w/ pistol shrimp
Pearly jawfish
Kole Tang
Tomini Tang
Gold spot rabbitfish
Blue sided wrasse
2 black and white clowns
2 blue gurdeons
Yellow tilefish
Starry blenny
Cleaner shrimp
2 peppermint shrimp (at least one for sure, but I believe both to still be in the tank - I can only find one at a time, but they are in different areas of the tank.)
Gold coral banded shrimp
Purple serpent starfish
2 green BTAs
Assorted CUC
75 refugium/frag tank -
Lawnmower
2 engineer gobies
Assorted CUC
*I also have two fireclowns and a red BTA that I plan to put in after most fish are in the tank. The BTA takes up most of a biocube 29, and I am hoping that it will split soon so I could move a clone into the dt prior to the fish.
Here is what I am thinking for my next fish purchase (input is welcome) -
-Mandarin (coming soon for sure - I plan to get the pod population up in a QT tank and purchase one - the pod population in the dt is getting bigger everyday).
- Quoyi Parrotfish - I have read that many people have kept these successfully in a reef tank. Anyone with personal experience it would be appreciated.

The following list are maybe's at this time -
- trio of pyramid butterflyfish
- rhomboid wrasses
- blue spot jawfish
- melanarus wrasse
- linkia starfish
I am looking to get a few unique fish that I will enjoy watching everyday - as I am not wanting to overstock my tank. I am thinking that if I go with the parrotfish then I will add smaller fish from that point on. Of course down the road when the reef is more established I will consider adding a queen angel.
