Hello Roger,
We've spoken before about the new tank I'm setting up. We are at final design stages and I want to be sure all is OK.
The tank is 84 x 31 x 25 H. you recommended:
1 wavebox mounted center on the short side pointing down the length of the tank
2 6000's mounted on the back wall pointing towards the center front - as shown in picture.
After reading the wavebox manual I have a few questions:
1. It recommends corner mounting. Is this an issue?
2. The tank will be 25" high with 1/2" thick, 2" wide bracing around the top and bottom perimeter, so ther will be a lip. Also will have 2, 8" cross braces.
To be on the safe side I am planning on mounting the box 1 1/2" down from the exterior tank top (1" from the bottom of the bracing lip).
3. The overflow has been reconfigured as a single, 18" long and 7" deep, centered on the back wall.
4. The overflow will be 20" high with 2" high teeth.
So the top of the box is at 23 1/2".
The box sits so 1" is always above water level (22 1/2")
Is this set up OK or should the overflow be higher? Assuming a 1.8" wave (22.5 - 1.8) =20.7 and the overflow being at the low point, should the overflow top be 21" ???
Thanks for your help!
