Hi RC,
After many years, trying to get into SW and never doing it I'm finally taking the big step. I've always been lurking around the forum just for the fun of it while I was playing with my FW tanks.
I currently have 2 other tanks, 1x150g with Tropheus Duboisis and 1x75g with Cyprochromis, Paracyprochromis & Xenotilapias. All of these are african cichlids from lake Tanganyika. While my trip in the FW world was fun I always was fascinated by SW tanks, even the smallest ones !
I recently got the authorization to put another tank in the house (thanks to my GF) and it will be probably in our bedroom (she'll hate me when she realise it's noisy and humid  )
I plan on keeping mostly soft corals and inverts with the possibility of a fish or two, nothing really fancy.
Here are the plans :
Additional details : The baffles are 10" high, the pump box is 6" high
Here is a list of equipment that would go with the tank
1- Lightning:
Nova Extreme Pro T5 High Output Lighting Fixture - 6 x 18W - 20 in.
2- Skimmer:
Bubble-Magus NAC6 Skimmer (6.7" x 10.4" x 19.6")
3- Pump:
Maxi-Jet Submersible NJ 4500 Utility Pump - 1175 gph (6"x 2.5"x 6")
4- Plumbing display
Intake 1" bulkhead with durso standpipe
Output 1" bulkhead with pcv pipe + lockline for flow direction
5- Plumbing sump
2x 90 degrees to direct the piping to the display (reduces flow a little bit)
1x Y connection with gatevalve(?) to control the flow ; 1 going to the tank, the other to the return compartment
Let me know what you guys think, I'll add more information along the road, and my tank builder will give me more accurate and professionnal plans.
EDIT :
The blue part is where my drain is going (straight down) and where the skimmer is going to be
The green part is the place for the refugium; sand + LR + macroalgae
Should I be concerned about anything, do you have any suggestions or comments ?
Thanks for looking
