28 gal JBJ nano cube cloudy

Hi everyone! I have a 28 gal JBJ nano cube LED pro. It has been cycling for 4 weeks now and the water is always kind of cloudy. I cannot get it to clear all the way. Could this be due to a bacteria bloom? I am planning on switching stock pumps to maxijett 1200 and also a aquamaxx HOB-1 protein skimmer this week will that help? Any advice would be really appreciated. Should I also just switch just one powerhead or switch both?

Did you try running some carbon in your filter? That seem to work for me.

In order of importance, try:
1: changing filter floss often (every other day)
2: running carbon (and changing every 3-4wks)
3: skimmer

Have you ever cleaned the glass? A lot of that sand dust will get attached to the glass and make the water look cloudy when it is crystal clear. If not the other suggestions are good.

Good point, clean glass inside and out! Back to the basics
