28 gallon bio cube

hello I have a 28 gallon bio cube and I was wondering how much lbs of sand I should use to get a good 2 or 3 inch base

and how much rock I should use

The standard you would need 30 lb of sand and 30 lb of rock.... How much rock depends on what type of rock you buy. Some is more porous but 1-1.5 lb per gal is a good starting point.

This is a picture of a 30 gal cube I just started and it has a similar footprint as the bio cube. I've got 30 lb sand and 30 lb rock.
