280 Build

About 2 months ago, I started a 280 build. I am building the stand and sump. The stand is a custom "L" shape that will hold my existing 115. Thank you. What surprised me, is that it is square and level. I cut down all the 2X material so that the ends and edges were square but bot the faces as there was limited bowing or twisting.

It has been a while since I updated this. I got to focused on getting the tanks set up. After cycling, I got everything out of my 115 and over to the 280. I still have to build the hood for the 115, and it will house an aggressive / non reef fish. I need to trim out around the bottom of the tanks as well but wanted to wait to get them all in and settled. Both tanks are hooked at the sump. I will ultimately drain the majority of water in the 115 and drill it so I can add an emergency overflow drain to it.

I thought about going that route but already had the 115. Plus, I needed to be able to get it in and out the door. :eek1:
