Well I'm still a bit bummed that I got stuck with this junker tank due to my inexperience with buying used acrylic tanks but I did learn something and am now headed even closer to my dream tank.
I just today quoted out a 60X30X26 tank from Lee Mar. It is a starphire front, 1/2" thickness, black back tank. It has dual corner overflows with two 1.5" bulkheads in each overflow so I can do a BeAnAnimal. I need to read up on doing that style as I am not sure how one does a dual corner overflow to accomplish that. Would you guys suggest a coast to coast? I requested no return holes and plan to come over the top as this would be inside my laundry/fish room.
Here is the wall where it would be placed. My wife says to tell you all to ignore her, she isn't moving! Lol
There will likely be a good deal of construction before I am ready to purchase whichever tank I get. I don't work as fast as I'd like being a Master's student, full time programmer, and owning a new house with its own opinion on what I should be working on. But never the less, I still find an hour a day to lurk the forums and get caught up on what seems like a world of changes since 2007 when I last kept a salty box. Off to lurk on BeAnAnimal overflows and relocating a secondary electrical panel to see if I can get lather than 60" on this puppy like I'd like to!
