I'm not worried about the new cans giving out. Its just with them on wheels and stacked up like that on the blocks, it looks like a wrong move and you can accidentally knock them down.

It would take a heck of a shuve to move those tubs. They prob weigh more than 500lbs each.

This would probably defeat the point of using it as a fuge but that fuge looks like it would make a great mangrove biotype tank, maybe with your seahorses or some non=reef smaller species. Until recently I didnt realize that so many people still use wood burning stoves to heat their homes in the US. I hear its cheaper than oil or natural gas these days.

Its alot cheaper than oil or gas. For me its about free. I have 80ac of woods, so i have plenty of wood. I have some cheto and red alage in there too. I also have some in the sump and more rock in the sump too.

I have both going. Iv never really had any luck with cheato. It usually vanishes on me. The mangroves in there i have had for about a year in my 75gal and they were only 3" or so tall when i got them. So they have grow alot. I have never had a phosphate, nitrate, or nitrite problem so i guess there working.

Here is a more recent pic. Just put the neon red BTA in there before i took this pic so it wasn't fully opened yet.

another crazy idea?

another crazy idea?

Im thinking about expanding the fish room. What do you think?

My bedroom would stil be 14'x9' plenty big enough for just me and the dogs. I could stack 3 frag tanks on each wall for a total of about 108sqft more of frag space i have about 24sqft now. So it would bring the total up to around 132sqft of room for frags. Thats alot of frags :) Would also bump my total water volume from 804ish gallons to 1300ish gallons

Humm.. makes me wonder if his setup sounds like a toilet flushing 24/7 .. the 150 gal I had.. had a terrible setup and sounded like a toilet flushing all the time.. could you imagine sleeping with a toilet flushing all the time??

Well, there goes that thread!

Just about the time you get interested in a thread, they go and get themselves kicked off.

Bummer.
