I am new to this site and have been out of the reef tank game for over a decade. My tank has been set up for two months and doing great all fish are alive and well. That is till yesterday i bought a yellow tang , got it home and it has icy. i have live rock with vegetation on it a hammer cral and star polyps ,and i have crabs snails and shrimp. i don't have a tank to separate the tang. what can ouse that won't harm the other life in mtg tank before the tang takes down my tank.

Possibly take it back where you got it. You can't treat it in the tank without causing harm to others. If you really want to keep the Tang I would suggest finding a temporary quarantine container where it can be treated, Sorry.

For now you can put him in a 5g bucket with a heater n a powerhead to keep the water moving. Take it back to the lfs if they will take it back. Your tank is too small for the tang n its probably getting stress in there.
