29 gallon sps coral reef flow question feedback wanted plz

I have built a aquarium to be proud of finally. It's a regular 29 gallon tank.

The main question is flow in aquarium. I have a 3/4 inch return powered with rio 2100 according to the calculator on the home page here at RC it's putting out 320 gph. I also am putting two maxijet pro 500 gph powerheads in the tank both on the back facing forward. So 1320 gph total

Do corals need a wave pump I Though I would get a jebao wp10 530-1000gph pump and run a wave mode setting and lowest gph. I have read and realize I only have laminar and turbulent flow in the aquarium.

Would a wavemaker inprove the corals growth and colors?

If so I will order one I just want to know some input results of adding such a thing. If this will not help or better the corals I will not buy one.

The other maxijet will be mirror to the one in the tank. Also will be a lot more rocks in the tank.

Do corals need a wave pump
___

I used mostly the Koralia type powerheads. I put in a VorTech MP10 which has different setting for waves, changing flow. I noticed the corals really liked the MP10... SPS only in the tank... made me realize flow is more important to corals than I thought. I'm sure they can do ok without waves but I think they like different/changing flow better.

The wave maker isn't really necessary In my opinion. Two power heads are plenty for a 29 gallon tank. I run a 29 gallon sumpless tank, and I use a koralia and a maxi jet powerhead, and they seem to provide enough flow for the two sps corals I keep (which isn't a lot but I think the flow would still be enough for a sps dominant system). If you want a wave maker, I would just get a wave maker that provides sufficient flow for your tank, and not put the other power heads in your tank. Otherwise I would put two power heads, one facing towards the surface, in the tank. However, I would make both power heads hit the front glass at an angle, not like how it is in the picture you show. The power and number of power heads isn't everything. As important as this if not more so is your positioning of them. Having your power heads positioned like in your photo would more or less result in the flow bouncing back to more or less the spot it came from. Having both power heads at the ends of the aquarium, having them positioned at a 45 agree angle towards the middle, one facing towards the surface, the other down, would get much more flow throughout the tank. The flow would hit the glass at the 45 degree angle and deflect back towards the middle of the tank, towards the top and bottom. Since you already have one powerhead I would just get the other powerhead, and not the wave maker.
