29 gallon standard or fluval 600 studio?

So I have a 29 gallon standard reef tank. Has a reef octopus bh100 and a media reactor. My friend of mine has offered me a sweet deal on a fluval 600 studio. Comes with a sump and protein skimmer. The dimensions on the studio are 25x18x22. So I'll lose 5 inches in length but I'll gain 6 in width and 4 in height. Will it be worth it having a sump to hide all my equipment and getting height and width, even though I lose 5 inches in swimming room? Which would you rather have? And I'd be able to still use my MarsAqua 165 watt, which is good.

Is width greater than length for a nano reef? And how beneficial will a sump be?

This seems simple to me - yes, sumps are great (usually), the new tank has a greater volume (almost 14 gallons), and the extra width will be appreciated.

The only downside is the extra height - harder to aquascape and light corals lower in the tank, but if creative can be done to good effect...

Ok. I definitely plan on getting it. I just wasn't sure if losing length was a big deal. Largest fish I have is a clownfish.
