2dead Randall's gobies in 3 days!!!!HELP!!!!

I have a JBL 6 gal peninsula. It's been running for 3 months. I have a pair of small skunk clownfish. I few days ago I added a Randall's goby as I was waiting for a Randall's pistol shrimp to arrive. The guy was active and eating pellets but 2 days after I FIU him dead. There were no aggression in the tank and water chemistry was all good. I removed the fish and a day after the pistol arrived and already setup it's burrow. I went back and added another Randall that was paired with a pistol at the LFS. This one just lasted a day but I had observed he had a bloody blotch near the end of his body.

Any ideas if this was a bad batch or could it be something wrong with my substrate???

That's way too big a bioload for a tank that small. A 6 gallon tank shouldn't be used for saltwater in my opinion.

Please buy a tank of at least 30 gallons to better support your livestock. The skunk clowns will outgrow that tank in no time.

The skunks are tiny...about 1 inch each. I am aware they'll grow and will move them in the future to a 120 gal shallow Reef I am saving for..

3 fish in a tank that small is still not feasible, no matter how small they are.

Consider how much oxygen one fish consumes on a small box. Multiply that by 3 and you're going to have the problems you're seeing.

Yeah. Mike is right. A six gallon tank really isn't feasible for anything but maybe a shrimp and goby pair, and considering how much my watchman moves, maybe that's even pushing it. Go grab a 29 gallon from Petco for 29$ and get a good home for your pets.
