2nd Annual Sps Challenge.

i guess mine are ok, they have turned brown.

Richard-

how do we get the info sheets back to you?

fax, PM?

Carl

I think I am winning... (on killing them that is). After the drop in the hammer coral, one is a complete loss, another is half dead, the third one I believe came with a couple dead branches and the forth was DOA... :( But I still have HIGH hopes :D :(

any winner on the ID contest? any entrants yet?

Carl, you sure do have allot of questions,
Of the corals from the last competition I still have two of them alive, I lost the tenuis about a month ago (i think is was due to winter reduced light levels) and that fourth coral i lost probably two weeks after the judging. I have made frags from the seriata a few times now and the other, I forgot the name, is hanging in there. Those were wild colonies and are usually more difficult to keep in the long run.
All the new corals from this challenge are in the same location, kinda medium flow and the light levels are aproaching 260PAR or 17,500Lux. at the peak of the day.

my money is still on Steve. way to go Steve.

my update.

all ours are dead. i was out of town for a few days and when i came back all my frag plugs had been taken off the frag rack and scattered around the tank. some on anemones, others hidden in rockwork.

i still haven't found them all.

i had never had frags scattered like that before.

the fish in that tank are as follows, four young black and white clowns, hippo tang, scribbled rabbit fish, pink tail trigger. possum wrasse.

do i win the prize for first to kill theirs?

carl... white coral award..lol. i can give you some replacements for a few but some will have to heal.
steve looks great how did that heat wave effect you today. sorry did not go to meeting my neck and back was kinda tweeked.
i will take photos of mine tomorrow.

My hippo has started picking up frag plugs as well as snails, my bet is on the tang.
