2nd Stage CaRx Question?

Randy,
You helped me recently and I decided to add a second stage to my Ca reactor to help use more of the residual CO2 from my reactor and to raise my tank pH.
My question is, can I just have the effluent of the reactor flow over or up through a container of korralith (reactor media)? Is it required/better to have the effluent fed into a pressurized container similar to the first stage? Well I think it is pressurized, isn't it? Mine is a korralin 1502.
Thanks,
Wrassta
PS: My pH is doing better now that I have my reactor running again and I am using limewater for top off! How do you manage to add your limewater all during the night?
Thanks again...

If you can be sure that it makes good contact by flowing through the media, then that may be as good as a second stage, although recirculating through the second stage over and over would be even better.

Pressure is of no consequence in the second stage if pH raising is the desired outcome. having it open might be best.

How do you manage to add your limewater all during the night?

I don't. Mine goes in 24/7. But if you want to, you can put a timer on the dosing pump.
