I'm fairly certain that Farmington has generators...we've got a Lowe's and a WalMart as well as a Family Center and a Tractor Supply(farm supply stores)
Since you don't have a mass amount of tanks, you can pick up a 400 or 600 watt inverter...Or you can even pick up something like a 1000 watt inverter pretty cheap...It will be a lot easier to find!
There is also a 1000 watt generator on ebay for $90+$10 handling...He is in South County and will meet you...I emailed him earlier for Roy but we found him one...If you just seach beay for generator and then sort by distance, you'll see it...
BTW- If you need any help or a place to store anything let me know...I owe you one anyway
In case you lost it, my cell is 314-484-0383...Good luck josh!
finally, wireless and PC back up and the tank.. oh and a light.. ended up going to SAMS Club on manchester. they had 30, i called and they had 14, i got there and they had 4. so i'm up and running. assuming i can keep the tank cool.
Being ready is good. Get a invertor from WalMart for 20 or 30 bucks and the next time it happens pull the battery out of your car to run it and when it gets low put it back in the car for a charge. I've kept tanks--yes 3-- alive for 8 days in the summer heat in Florida after Ivan. One fish did jump.
that and the gas stations around here are all out of gas. people are flocking the the stations with gas because lots dont have power so they cant pump. 35 minute wait earlier for gas.
