Come join us for the DIY Workshop at my house in Thornton at 2:00 PM.

We will do MaxiJet mods together, see an acryllic demo and have some show-and-tell time. We will have a homemade "Euroreef" skimmer and battery power backup for display and Q&A.

Feel free to bring your favorite project and show it off or get some help from our DIY gurus!

We will order MJ mod kits for those that placed an order by 11 am Sunday July 29. If you did not make it in on the group buy, you can place your own order and have it express shipped or come and watch and DIY at home later. We will probably have a couple extras available for purchase at the workshop, first come, first served (these fit maxijet 900's or 1200's).

Please RSVP in this thread so I can plan food. Kids are also welcome. I can't wait to see you all and have you check out my tanks :)

I'm bringing the following DIY projects:

*Recirc skimmer (good for 135+ gallons @ $175)
*Battery backup (205 amp hours @ $135)
*MJ mod (DIY - not quite as pretty as the ones from MJ Mods)
*Swirler-stein (ocillator for MJ mods @ $30 each)

Cheers - looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

In case anyone might be interested I can bring along a couple relevant used items to sell:
  • Chauvet SF-4005 2/4 channel timer, makes a great wave timer for MaxiJet powerheads (you could use it with your new mods!)
  • 3 MaxiJet 900s
  • 3 SureGrip 50 magnetic holders (will work with un-modded MaxiJets, Seio SuperFlows, and Tunze Streams)

Christina,
Do we have enough drills, dremels, tools, etc. for the group MJ mod build?

P.S. looking forward to seeing your '51 Buick, picking up the latest toy ('69 Cougar) on Monday.

It's always the little things...thanks for reminding the group. Everyone, please bring your powertools.

Rustang - please bring such supplies if you have some and/or extra. I'm sure we will be short. If we end up short though - it only takes a moment to drill the holes.

I "polled" that I wasn't going to be able to make it, but now that I see it's all of 3.7 miles from my house I might try to squeeze it in.

Hope to see everyone there!
