3 day transfer method to get rid of ich

That's considered an old and reliable method for eliminating ich on the fish.
Unfortunately many of the people who use this technique fail to understand that if the ich infested fish has been placed in their show tank then chances are the show tanks infested and if you place the fish back into an infected tank chances are it will be reinfected. Since it often takes 5-6 weeks of leaving a show tank without fish to insure the ich within the ST are dead - most people forgo the transfer method and just use std QT treatments and keep the fish in Qt for 5+ weeks.
The transfer method is valid method if used under the right circumstances. Biggest downside is the stress associated with multiple transfers/catching of the fish.
