3 Foot Office Nano

I've keep a fairly detailed nano-reef profile of this build but wanted to share my tank with others on here as well.

Tank is a Mr Aqua 12 Gallon - 36" x 9.5" x 8"
The plumbing was a simple DIY of the XAqua/Oceanlife Overflow design.
Sump includes a filter sock, heater, and dual reactor with biopellets and gfo/carbon.

There are no powerheads, no skimmer, no ato, and no dosing.

It is two 30" monitors. I do visual effects for commercials. Greenscreen, 3D Animation, Compositing, etc. Some of my work can be seen on my website www.eschulist.com Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in almost 2 years so there are lots of new commercials I need to add.

What are you using for a return pump? how many gph?

Pump is an Eheim 1260 So there is about 500-600 gph going through the system.

Thanks. It was being set up around Feb of last year with it having saltwater sometime in late March of 2012.

The light is a no brand chinese light that I found on alibaba.com I found an american ebay seller with the same lights and purchased one from him.

This is the Nano Reef forum... Does 280 gallons count as nano in terms of tank to ocean ratio?? LOL

lol well one day I will have a nano hooked up to the filtershed as well (will it still be considered a nano if it is hooked into an 1100 gallon system?). But I am pushing it with the Mrs. as it is so we're keeping that on the backburner for now . Actually the dims of your tank are exactly what I am looking for.

I want an NPS tank.

Well if it was all plumbed together you could probably have a sweet NPS system. It would allow you to heavily feed that tank while having a large amount of water and filtration to keep the water clean. Good luck with the wife factor.

The long tanks are a little tricky with the rockwork but after that its really cool. Its more of a panorama / widescreen style so everything is front and center.
