Hello all just noticed your reef club and thought I would share my gf and I's tank. We live on LI, frequent Pets in Copaigue, and I am most definitely interested in joining your reef club.
So we currently have a 3 gal picotope and are in the process of upgrading it to have a AQ70 fuge.
I previously had to tear down my red sea max 130 because of money and time constraints due to school did not want the inhabitants to live in water with poor quality.
With our 3 gal we've been having issues recently... always walked a fine line between putting nutrients into the tank... Thought our cocoworm was undernourished and added some filter feeding food... long story short have been battling GHA since.
I recently caused a cycle because we tried to nuke some GHA by pouring H2O2 over the effected areas. (outside the tank) and It went well but I introduced rock that I soaked and left it in too long. Long story short the die off from the soaked rock caused an ammonia spike and a new cycle. Since we dont have a fish and only a few snails and green emerald, it was too much. 50% waterchange saved the day but I think killed the snails and crab... our salinity was low and spiked up high with our NSW due to the massive water change. All corals and the worm are intact.
Uploding some older photos and will post newer ones later. We have a very blue led bulb so the photos are either a 50/50 stock PC or natural light as the LED is not photogenic.
Thanks hope you enjoy!
