Depends on the actual tank.. If you just want to keep a few pairs I've always heard that even a 2 gallon is suitable.

there is only one species of "zot" (dwarf SH)...H. zosterae.

there are, however, "pygmy" SH, such as H. bargibanti and H. colemani, but thankfully, they never appear in the hobby.

I would say that a 2 gallon is way to small for anything more than two dwarf horses.

anyone know a reputable company to buy these from? I site called seahorseworld.com but im real sceptical about their methods... i think it might be a scam... they gaurentee live arival but dont ship over night.... seems fishy

seahorse source is excellent. i have scene their facility, the two who run it, are very gentle and caring. their horses are given the upmost care...i can't recomend more highly!
