I think so between those (1050gph)x2 and the return pump (650gph). I made the mistake of sugar size sand at first and had a sand storm no matter how I pointed them.

Looking nice! I just finished setting up the same setup this weekend.

How are you liking the LED? I have not set it up yet but was thinking of returning it and going for the AI SOL for more controllability.

Watch out for the cute pensive leprechaun next to ya tank, randy says they can cause hair algae.

It looks good and I wish you the best, but a 2 month old tank + SPS probably won't end well for the SPS. The green algae on the rocks is a sign that it's still cycling. I made the same mistake with my first SPS too. Softies and LPS will probably be fine, though

I dont think that is green hair algae as it looks more like green coralline algae. Thats a good sign, keep up the good work on the tank, and keep us updated with pics as your tank matures.-Joe

Hah def not green coraline, more like layers of micro algae, but most prob. caused by the little fella. Anyway, like the LEDs + tight looking settup.

How do you like the LED setup? At that level above the tank, how much light is escaping from the tank at night? Being this will be in my living room this is one of my worries. I am still debating about the lighting and this may be the first time I actually seen a setup with it on this forum.

Also, how is the remote, does the setup/remote seem to be of good quality?

Thanks,
Mark

Sorry for the late reply! Been working 12 hour shifts.

The LED setup seems to be supporting everything i have in there so far, but it seems cheaply built. Still need more time to see what kind of growth I will get from it. The remote is ok but you cant program the lights to do any kind of sunrise or sunset. I would probably not spend the extra on their light if I was to do it over again. I want do a DIY led in the future!

I will post more pics soon as I purchased some more frags at the WORC frag swap.
