like the title says I have 3 regular clowns ( 2 are about inch and a half and 1 is about 2.5 inches ) then I have 2 maroons clowns which are like 3.5 inches and 3 inches

the bigger maroon is in my 55 gallon tank since the start . and the 3 other reg clowns are in my 46 reef tank .

So i picked up another maroon clown today to try and get it to pair with the other one in the 55 and when i put the bag in the 2 started going at it. luckly the bag was there and they didnt hurt each other .

So ,,, then i took him out and put the new guy with the 3 other clowns in the 46 gallon and they seemed to be doing well , except the larger of the 3 reg clowns goes up to him some times and they almost bite each other but dont then go into convulsions ( wiggling fast ) . Are they gonna get better or worse do you think ?

and should i have left the maroon with the other one or was I right ...if they fight from the start , they wont be buddys ?

It will get worst. Maroons are very aggressive clownfish and once the maroon matures he will kill, pick off your other clowns. How big is the new maroon. If he is small (say less than 1.5 inches) Your best bet to getting him to pair with your female is introducing him to a breeder trap and allow them to view/see each other. When there seems too be no more aggression let him out of the trap and watch. As for your 46 gallon once a pair forms from your 3 clowns chances are the odd man out will get picked on/killed.

I had the pumps and fans off cause i tried to put the maroon in the 46 while the other 3 clowns were eating . with the flow of water not there it seemed like he was pickin on the other clowns more. when i turned the pump on i havnt seen him really bother them anymore he is kinda just guarding his lil tunnel rockwork

The maroon, sooner or later will probably make short work of the other clowns. Again how large is this maroon. If he is of appropriate size and a male, than use the breeder trap method to aid in the pairing of the maroons. The pumps have nothing to do with the aggression levels of the maroon clown.

The problem maroon is prob around 3 inches. The flase per clowns are 2 small ones like 1.5 inches and one like 2.25 inches .

my first maroon clown is like 3.5 maybe 4 inches

You are likely have two female maroon at 3.5 and 3 inches. You should return the smaller maroon and get a even smaller one. The smaller, the better, then try to pair them using some barrier device to protect the smaller maroon.
The maroon will make short work of the three Ocellaris if you put them together.

Ah guess i skimmed over that part. I have a bad habit of not reading the whole thread sometimes. Anyways orion is right. You probably have two females and the pairing of the maroon will not work. Your best best is to return the 3 inch one and get a smaller maroon clown. Say one that is less than 1.5 inches.
