This is probably the last thing you guys want to see, but you have helped me a lot, so I figured I'd post where we are at so far. Thankfully all of the water parameters are right on - except temp. But the highest it gets is 83 now and I am learning wahat has the biggest impact - the sun! Part of the day sees sunshine hittiong the short side of the tank. Now I keep the blinds down.
Two pics of my tough as nails foxface. I put him in the day I stocked my LR (learned too late that was a no - no) and the tank temp on day 2 hit 90! A couple of days later, he got stuck when one of the powerhead covers fell and he even survived that. He's a tough one! His color fades a bit when he sees the camera and he seeks cover - usually he is cruising the tank and picking at algae.
My blackcap basslet is tough to get agood picture of. I can see him a lot now, but he doesn't go too far from his cave. If he ses the camera he withdraws into it.
I have a cool cleaner shrimp. I have yet to see him clean a fish. I thought he was trying to get to the foxface once, but the foxface swam away. Did you ever see t hese guys eat? It's pretty cool! His real color is a much deeper yellow - I'm not sure why the camera lightened it so much....... maybe the flash shoots through the body?
I have a lot of this lavendar stuff growing on the rocks; in fact, I have 3 different shades of purple!
Thanks again for all of the help
