3 X 40 watts = good looking corals

As I was search the net I found this site. http://www.garf.org/bullet.html
he uses 3 x 4 foot 40 watts bulbs and gets some good looking coral.

Did you notice the tank has no sps corals.

That is one way to do it. You can have a very nice tank with what they are using. Just make sure you keep the appropriate corals/fish in the tank and you will be happy (and richer) for many years.
Check the Reef Discussion forums.. PaulB has been keeping a nice reef for several decades using an under gravel filter and bee bottles.
