30 Days and RBTA still hiding.

I have had an RBTA for 30 days.
If I peer into my center rockwork I can see some tentacle action but not much.
The problem is it is getting virtually no light.

How much longer?

Sigh,
Sean

After 30 days I wouldn't wait for it to move. I have found that anemones ( esp. BTAs ) can be dumb, and won't always move to the light. A while ago I was selling off a bunch of rock, when I pulled one piece out I was shocked to find two bleached RBTA clones. There was nothing blocking their path to get to a better spot to get more light.

So I would suggest moving the rock so that it is in the light. And try to find out why it was staying there, perhaps there was too much flow?

Of course it may be somewhat bleached now, so you may have to move it lower in the tank, or adjust your lights.

I flipped it over about 3 pm last night.
Placed it as low in the tank as it could go.
I turned off all powerheads but one.
The anemone stayed there until lights out and I finally went to bed...4 am.
13 hours in one spot.
Woke up at 12 noon...stuck in the intake of the only Stream I left on...mangled. :(

Wow, that sucks.

How is its foot? If only the tentacles were/are mangled there is a good chance that it will recover. Had the same thing happen to an LTA, and while it looked awful for a week or two, it made a full recovery.

That is too bad, sorry about that. And it seems that they will always find the one powerhead that is still on, even if you think there is no chance of it.
