30"deep...175mh enough?

I'm planning a 150 gal seahorse tank 48x24x30 and I plan on keeping Zoos & other softies. The zoos will be the most light demanding thing in the tank, and I would like to know if a 175mh would be enough to keep them near the bottom. I can go up to 250w, but I definitely don't want to do 400w (heat issues). I will probably supplement with T-5's. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Probably better to go with the 250 incase you upgrade in the futuer.
Your gonna get more than 1 MH right? Because I don't think one bulb is enough to cover the whole tank.

I'm going to get two MH's, but zoos will be the most demanding thing I'm going to keep for the next several years. This being the case, will 2x175's be enough?

250's or 400's would do the job. If you use the lesser such as 175's you won't get the light to the bottom of the tank. And of course you may want to add other things later. You will already have the proper lighting if you go with the higher wattage! JMO

They'll probably adapt to 175's, but is the increase in cost to go to 250's significant? I was thinking it wasn't.
