30 gallon agressive what fish

Snowflake eel.

Regarding the Lionfish, i'm sure you can catch your own lionfish. You are in St.John right? In the Caribbean they have been growing a lot. You'll be doing the reefs in your area a nice favor as well :D

Didn't think of that but it would be an excellent solution

They only have P. volitans out there and they grow far too big for a 30g.

What about a Sargassum or Striated Frogfish? Both are native to your area and would be happy in a 30g.

Probably right, but he can go catch a bunch. Put the smallest one in there and then eat it once it's too big haha and catch another.
They are definitely good eating, please if you try this make sure to look up videos before touching and fileting these animals! Venomous spines must be taken out!

I would recommend a golden dwarf moray or even a pair, cool little eels :) and mine recently went on a killing spree and brutally murdered my cleaner shrimp and even my starfish, so definitely a predator!

LOL good point. That would work.

The lionfish here grow to between 16 and 18 inches so I don't think they would be happy in my tank for a while and now they are harder to find within my free diving range (30' or so) they like shipwrecks and deep water and I would stick to spearing them anyway.

The trouble is that the OP would only be able to catch large-bodied lions...dwarf species are not invasive/found in the Caribbean.
