30 rimless sps

The Red Sea kits are a lot of bang for your buck. They're dead on accurate not to mention fancy for a lack of words BOTOH they're tedious. Right now I'm only testing twice a month so I'm getting my value out of them. The titration holder is really nice, I don't want to do titration tests any other way now. About the only other kits I've used extensively is API. Now there's an easy test! But ...it ain't so accurate so go figure. Red Sea nitrate is a color comparator and it has a silly little wheel for a color chart. Red Sea competes with Salifert in price but Red Sea is a lot "fancier."

I'm going to go with something like the Hanna Checker for phosphate because it's fast and accurate, although pricey.

I have Red Sea too. It's great. I still hate testing. I will pay big big bucks for a mag/calc probe or one step water tester if someone wants to invent one. Hannas are not one step :(

Your Mg vial will get a white residue after a few uses. Be sure to clean it very well. Once you have the residue the test will be inaccurate. Also regarding the Hanna checker for phosphate, you need to research the phosphorus checker. I have the phosphorus version and believe it to be more accurate.

One has been invented

Wont let me post link so. Google " My Triton Testing Results: By Randy Holmes-Farley"

I googled it. Sounds like you have to send it to some fancy lab. I want the fancy lab in my living room, with a push button start.

Too much to ask?

Clearly I should start dating a chemist... Damn...

I am a chemist and I can't do this. You need a rich chemist. Hahaha

And by that I mean... Rich chemist with a six pack and also tall, dark, and handsome??? Sold!

I'm sorry for hijacking your thread Cherubfish. I will stop inappropriately fantasizing now.

rich? ...no, chemist? ...no, six pack ...no, tall? ...no, dark? ...no, handsome? why yes!

That must be the typical answers when you interview a guy huh Katie? Well there's a picture of me in my profile and I do have more hair than what it looks like, I just took off my hat there. ;)

You have the Hanna 713? Have you heard anything about the Milwaukee mini colorimeters? Milwaukee has such a better reputation for me. I bought a Hanna pH meter about 9 years ago and it never did work. I don't want to go that route again.

That's a pretty hot photo. You're all grey with a head and shoulders. You seem to be lacking a neck. And a face.

(There is no photo on your profile)

Wow someone just finished 50 shades of grey lol :hmm4:

I read like half of it a few years ago. Pretty sultry stuff. Not great writing, I got bored and moved on. I don't think anyone actually likes having uncomfortable weird sex with someone completely emotionally unavailable. He was rich though. And tall and dark. Too much emotional baggage for me though.

Some of my coworkers have started calling me the fish lady. I took this as a compliment, but I think I need to get a life.

Never read it but doesn't sound like my idea of romance either.

To set the record straight I have never read it either. But I know a lot of women who have and have really liked it......
Anyways I am known as the fish guy at work and everyone asks for my advice. To bad it's all freshwater questions :fun2:

None whatsoever, same as my sixline wrasse. In fact they are both the most timid fish in there. Even the mandarin bullies them around. The wrasse is definitely a female as females aren't near as aggressive but I don't understand the dottyback. I had the same specie dottyback before and it was so aggressive that it systematically beat up every fish in the tank.

Did you notice that the water level seems low in the Fusion 30? I added some plastic to block the overflows a little on each side so there wasn't a 1.5" gap from the top of the glass to the top of the water line.
