300 gallon lookdown

as far as painting it goes, it might look cool after a while when some corraline starts growing on it, and from my experience it grows better on dark colored rough surfaces like that of the stock tanks, so that might be something to think about in the long run.

Wow progressing nicely,curious what type of lighting are you going to be using.Looking foward to more picts,I find this type of build really interesting,thanks for posting it bud.
 
its flex spa tubing after the ball valve .

as far as lighting I going to either use my current light 400 w. MH and at one more or go with a large t5 fixture..
 
well the new tank is up and running heres some pics kind of milky from the new sand
didn't get the aquascaping setup the way I want it I have to wait till things clear up..

he was the main reason for the putting up a larger tank and the gigas clam is the true monster in my new tank its at least the size of a big punch bowl...

added an extra skimmer just for thew heck of it see if will make a difference .
