I was in memfish in Memphis yesterday and they was telling me about guy from the east Tn club had built a 3000 gallon tank .Can anyone tell me his name on here?

I am fairly sure that the Coral Reef lagoon (no side viewing) is that big. They used to have it (or something similar) set up at the SA hatchery with some sharks and a few fish in it a year or three back. I am not sure if it is up and running yet, but somebody was working on it a week or two ago.
Aquatic Marine's big tank is only 1200G, but it is a big acryllic tank and not a lagoon.

The tank I'm talking about they said was made out of plywood with a viewing glass on the side.Do you all know who built the tank at coral reef?

I built a 1000 gallon MDO skinned 2 part epoxy coated inside dimensions of:
10' x 4' x 41" deep tank. 4x4's pocket screws, lag screws, glue and
2x4's every 11 inches.
I've got two windows 8 x 2 foot and 2 x 3 feet with tempered 1/2 inch thickness.
Still holding water since November 2010. It is possible.

The lagoon at the hatchery is still set up and doing fine, as far as I know.
Apparently Erick built the lagoon at CR. He built it one way then had to redo it to make it both shorter and also stronger at the corners. I haven't seen it set up though. They ran everyone out of the entire building for a day or so with the epoxy stink, I do know that.

I've seen that. Very good, detailed writeup.
Someone from MTRC was building one a while ago but he never finished due to a family issue but that was a horseshoe tank.
