We live and learn. I am going to change up the closed loop somewhat for better flow throughout tank but mainly in the rear between aquascaping and rock wall.

It's looking good already.
Not many tanks that are placed on both sides of a wall like this one.
I guess you did that for bigger fish-room and side views.

Yes, front and side views through starfire. Many do it this way. My reason is to keep majority of tank out of living area and yet still see through the sides. This placement makes tank easy to maintain from the fish room side. Its my man cave...

I like how you have your closed loop set up. Why that way other than to not have a bunch of holes in bottom of tank?

Less holes in bottom of tank was the idea. Less possibilty of potential leaks. Have been busy moving into house and settling in. Will post more pictures along as we have more time.

Yes close to the same area. New house is just north of Mustang. About 4 miles south of the old house. Been busy working lately. Delays on the canopy cabinet but finally completed and now staining. And granite for around top of rock base will be in this coming Wendsday. So ready to get all of this completed.

We finally got the granite work completed and installed on the stand rock work. Went with this 3 layer tier look. Thought the contrast look was appealing to the eye. And now staining the canopy. Hopefully soon be finished and hung. Ready to fill the hole in the wall.

This tank look really nice. You should be proud.
Something white on the shelves will make the brown blend in more with the surroundings.

Just began working on getting the Apex hooked back up on system last week before I had neck this week. Here is a picture and I will try to get more pictures uploaded while I'm recoverying.

Good to see you back online, Doug! Did I read this right you had problems with your neck? Hope nothing too serious and you're on the mend!

Very nice setup. I had considering building my tank in the wall similar to yours, with some of it protruding out the front side, but ended up with it completely in the wall. Now seeing the way you trimmed and finished your tank makes me wish I had done it the same way.
The end result looks amazing.

Hi Mike, good to hear from you. Your tank is looking wonderful as always. Yes I had two more neck fusions and cadaver bone for the disk. I had the same surgery 2 years ago for four fusions above. It has been about 5 weeks and I am just now getting back to work and playing with my tank and this feels really good.
