i think you probably have the best tank in the forum.. ur literally my hero. I think i am going to have a similiar bio load to yours so what skimmer would you suggest or are using?

i was considering the Octopus RPS-3000 RC, its a recirc rated for 400 gallons. Do you think it will be enough?

Also do you have any videeos of your sweet tank?

sorry guys been real busy I have not updated this thread in a very long time. Got many new fish in the tank. Some very rare ones like Scribble Angel and a Personifier spelling? Anyway will have to post some pics of the new additions. Tank and all fish doing very good.

Hey HDTV guy just got your thread from Jayson at Salt Water Connections. And have been looking through it very carefully. I am in the process of setting up the same sort of thing. I just ordered a 300 gal tank from him with all of the lights and protein skimmer etc. We are currently working on an addition to our house and the tank will be an in wall veiwable by two sides divider. No fish room. All of the plumbing/sump/electrical will have to be in a 2' wall. Blank slate here we just did the walls and havent poured concrete yet. Two footings have been poured direct to bedrock to take the weight. No basement or crawl space. Just a concrete slab. I noticed in your picks you have a dryer hose on the right of your tank is there an exhaust system?
what did you frame the stand with? What would you change if you had to do it over? What do you like about your setup? Want to take a trip 2 hrs east all expenses paid and an hourly wage? plus a dinner I have 3 weeks to come up with a design for my contractor. Any help will be appreciated. I have started a thread in the DYI forum called 300 gal in wall by rumrunner.

awesome tank and fish i also had a clown tang that died without any signs of disease. with more research on the species i found that the majority of these fish are caught with cianide because they are so hard to catch. acanthurus lineatus is a species to stay away from because of this most fish available are almost certainly waiting to die it just a matter of time
