I have used Tunze for many years, always love the product, and first introduced to them almost 30 years ago in Germany.
I am setting up a 30G nano, want to use the new nano filter and skimmer, will be keeping mainly stoney corals, few fish! will it be sufficent for these animals?
Also are the tunze lighting components available in the USA? interested in the smaller haide units.
Thank you in advance
Thomas
"only a dead fish goes with the flow"

We can get the 150w units in single and dual but they would take a while to arrange as I stopped carrying them because frankly Giesemann is cheaper and while the quality is identical (same thickness of aluminum, no steel parts, same electrical components), they have a higher polish to the finish.

I would say this filter would be fine but I would load the nano filter with chemi pure to help with the higher purity and removal of the toxins produced by the SPS.

Thank You

Thank You

I will be ordering today and will show the set up as I go along!
What would you advise for extra circulation?
I think any of the streams would be overkill!
Thanks again
Tom

have the set up

have the set up

I bought the whole set up,
Fltration Tunze reef pack
30# live sand
45# cured Fiji Rock
150W 14K HQI Geismann HQI in a coral life fixture!(wife wanted nothing suspended!!!)
Bought the pump 7200 with thw wave maker etc it seems to be way too strong to me! any suggestions?
Also the filer part of the reef pak does put out micro bubbles, I have a feeling it is the chemi pure restricting the flow, could that be it, using the 10 ounce bag!

Can i alter the flow on the turbelle 7200, and what about an osmolator, where would I put it, can it go in the filter chamber? like my old reef pack? should I use a smaller Chemi Pure or use purigen which is a smaller volume?

I am very impressed and it was worth the wait for, hope you do not mind answering the questions!

Will post pic as I get it all sorted
Tom

I would suspect the bubbles are partly from the break in and parly the Chemi Pure. I would try to loosen up the media a bit. I didn't find many bubbles at all with just floss.

You can reduce the flow on the 7200 with the screw driver set potentiometer on the side of the driver. You can also add a single conroller so the pump will pulse between two speeds.

The Osmolator would be stand alone in this set up, unfortunately it will not fit in the nano reef pack.

This system really is very good, the water quality is excellent the skimmer is a real work horse and skims like crazy, I would really recommend this to anyone as a very simple effective filtration system for a nano.
Ok so Roger what filtration system for a 125 G using internal filters
Thanks
