3110/2 skimmer in a sump

HI Roger....I was wondering if you could advise if a 3110/2 skimmer can be used in a small sump. The total water capacity for tank and sump will be about 150L which is within spec. I was more concerned about water flow. Would a fast or slower water flow area be best for it. The skimmer works great in the tank but I have decided to add a sump as the tank is getting overcrowded with equipment.

It would be fine as long as you can submerge it to the proper depth, keep a constant water level and the flow is not too strong past the skimmer.

Thanks for the quick reply Roger. Are you able to give me some sort of flow rate for guidance. I was thinking about 800lph. Your thoughts please.

That was about the flow rate I was thinking, maybe as much as 1000l/h.
