Hello (again) Roger,
My 3130/2 wasn't skimming much and when I took the collection cup off, I noticed that there was not much foaming going on. So, I removed it from the sump and dismantled it. I found that the pump was running slowly due to some minor calcification. Cleaned it up with vinegar, reassembled, dropped it in the sump and .....voila......it began shooting water into the collection cup very quickly....this skimmer has never done that before.
I tried adjusting the screw...no change....
The hole in the back of the skimmer box is wide open, but I believe it has always been that way...
I raised the skimmer about a 1/2" to no avail.
I re-disassembled it to ensure the connections were to spec and everything looked fine....
Any thoughts?
