3155 Osmolator Problem

Hi,

I purchased an osmolator and just finished hooking it up. When I plug it in, nothing lights up on the 5017 controller. I have the optical sensor about 3" off of the water, the topoff resevoir is full and everything is hooked up. I double checked the wiring and even tried reversing the wires that go the pump because I couldn't tell which way that should be hooked up. Still nothing. The red light on the transformer comes on and I have it set to 9V. Any ideas on what may be wrong?

It's probably the plug. Mine didn't fit tightly enough to make contact inside the controller. I sent it to Roger and he had it back to me in a week working perfectly.

Open it up and take a look. You can see the problem and if you apply pressure to the contact the unit will work.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is making good contact. I also have another 9V adapter with the same plug size and tried that. The controller just sits there...

I think it is as smatter said, the boards and sensors are all tested before they leave. We apparently had some wrong size transformers and/or jacks and the tip does not make contact. The pump polarity is inconsequential. PM me your address and email and we will get it picked up and taken care of.
