I had an overflow box that was cracking and I took it to tap plastics and the guy ran some of that #16 cement on it and said it would fix it and it did. He said that cement actually melts the plexi to bond it together again.
There is thinner viscosity glue than #16. The stuff is as thin as rubbing alcohol. It will permeate the crack more thoroghly. Try that first, then an overcoat of #16 to reinforce it.
Do you have a pic to show how wide? You may need to take a piece of acrylic and weld it under the crack with some Weld-on #3 then fill the crack with weld-on #16 mixed with acrylic shaving to thicken it... If it was me I would then add an additional piece of acrylic to the top using #3 weld.
