Hello RC,
I have learning a lot from this forum and still learning, I am ordering tank next week, This tank is going to be 48"x48"x32". This is basically cube that is going to fit in my existing wall opening. I am having this tank build locally. I am going this route because I want to be able to stop by where the tank is being built and see what is going on and make changes if I have to and make suggestions as well and I want to give business to local vendor as well. As per my conversation this tank will be 3/4" thick regular glass all around including bottom. I spoke to builder and I asked him if he is going to use euro brace, But he mentioned he uses stainless steel top and bottom brace and there will be one bar in the middle going from front to back and is going to be cured with special material to make it saltwater resist. I like this idea better but I am thinking about paying extra and have eurobrace and stainless steel both on top and bottom. I need suggestions about overflow box, I have my mind set on not having overflow box on the inside. What you guys think about H20 overflow kit? More info can be found via link below, I looks like pretty good with stealth look that I wont even notice when this is mounted on surface. I have even have 4 of these installed, 2 on each side. So far this is the only plan, There will be ton of pictures coming... Oh I forgot to mention that this tank will be drilled on the bottom 8 1" holes and I will connecting Oceans Motions that will be running with reeflo dart pumps...Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated..
