3250 pounds of Walt Smith 2.1 hit the bottom of the Gulf today 6/18/15

Loaded the boat to the max with Walt Smiths amazing 2.1 man-made eco friendly rock today. Cuzza came along again and we did a little aquascaping and video of the rock on the bottom with his "fishing video go-pro"

3250 pounds on the boat!





Fiji "Holy" rock!



Each rock Walt makes is an individual work of art and totally unique, no two rocks are the same!





Cuzza did a little aquascaping with some pieces...and it was rough out this morning, so as you can see Walt's rock goes together even on a 'rocking" boat!





Cool caves and structure, and the boat was really moving around as we had thunderstorms this morning...so no need to try to dill...or epoxy Walt's rock together as it stays all by its self.



This is eight foot of aquascaping.



And cuzza with his fishing pole go pro...pretty neat idea...he will be putting the video together later!~



And in a year we will see these rocks again...perhaps in your tank!

I think I worked him to hard today in the 100 degree heat.....probably home in his pool .....

The complete video is finalizing as I type this. Video editing is like watching grass grow. It's a slow process. Dennis I used some of your pictures and credited your work. I hope you don't mind. If so I will remove them.

I would of had the video done sooner, but the second I left Richard's place my phone received a text message from my Apex. Uh oh. The one alert I never want to see. LEAK DETECTED!!! Crap. I'm 45 minutes out, what could it be? Tank crack, sump crack, plumbing failure? What kind of mess am I going to be coming home to?

Well, I walk in and the tank looks fine. There's a small puddle on the floor next to the stand. I open the cabinet and my skimmer is overflowing with just enough spray is getting out of the sump to hit the the door and trickle down on to the floor. It probably was overflowing for a while because there wasn't a lot of water escaping. Turns out the float switch on the skimmer cup failed. Even though it took a long time to make, thank god for my DIY leak detector wire. It wraps around the entire perimeter of the stand. Had I used the standard Apex detectors it may have leaked for much longer before I was alerted.

Whew. All is well now and the video will be up soon.

Not sure....but there are zillions of them down there...I like they way the suddenly appear after figuring out that cuzza's lunar go pro is not a hungry grouper LOL

Juvenile French Grunt would be my guess. Would be a pretty fish for a large tank.

Yeah I agree, those look like juve french grunts. Also saw some spottail pinfish and some grey snappers in there. Cool video.
