340g LED SPS tank from Brazil

Thanks for posting the Par Reading.
Amazing Par you're getting. Have you had any issues with corals bleaching due to too much light upon addition? Im sure you do light acclimate very slowly but your PAR level at the sand bed are close to what some SPS tanks have on the top!!!

Well, I have had no issues because my corals are under LEDs and high PAR before de AI's. I was using Ecolamps (a.k. Acanlight) fixtures for over 2 years.

I advise that SPS that was under T5 or MH MUST be slowly light acclimate because it WILL burn in no time...

Simply incredible! I have accumulated 5 AI Sol blues for my new build. 70*30*30. I am guessing that i will have to get at least one more module. Thank goodness the price has dropped! I hope I can make my new system half as nice as yours!

Sorry about the noob question... why have both a sulfur reactor and a refugium? Also, could you post pictures of your refugium and the sulfur reactor. Great tank!! Thanks for sharing.

Roberto,

Do you have any pictures showing a single coral's growth and progression over two years with full tank shots that show the same coral still in it's original place?

Thanks!

Joe

Well, The reasons are:

1) I have 10 huge (over 8") tangs, so lots of crap
2) For me, fish must be fat, so I feed very well
3) I like colorful SPS and, with all this tangs, filter methods are never too much

I have over 50lt of Siporax, the two sulfur reactors, socks, still have some sand on refugium (that will be taken off).

Hi Joe

I'll post some growth pics but I'm afraid I'll not be able to get the pics from the coral's place because on this 2 years I had three changes of tank place.

But you will see that the coral is the same.

Side by Side b/c it is neat:

P.S. Roberto, if you want me to pull this down I can, sorry if I overstepped...

beautiful tank, i want to upgrade my lights to these AI leds, do you think 2 of these will be plenty for a 40 gallon breeder with sps in top

Very nice. Did you see any changes in the corals when you switched you optics to all 70 degs? You give me the inspiration I need to stick with leds. Not easy....

Yes, one of the changes was on the bases of the corals. since the light spread began to get there, they start to growth like crazy.

the overal look is better and less shadow places.

Roberto,
Congrats with amazing job! i have a couple of qustions :)
--How did you mount you large colonies? since i have something similar coming up wth my project i would love to know:)

-- what plastic rock did you use and if you think its beneficial?
